REGION. Oh my, oh my, oh my. I really loved this race. We did our warm up and I felt a little nervous but really I was fine. I ate some crackers before and I felt kinda sickish but by the race I was fine. When we got to the starting line I felt pretty good. We were on the very far side of the starting line so when he shot the gun we all had to merge. Mia was right up at the top ten and I got up with her and my legs seriously felt amazing! Better then they ever have! I said to myself Kay stay right behind Mia. But then I realized that I could be pushing harder cause I felt so good. So I did and I pushed right ahead of Mia and I was in like 8th. The 1st lap I was in 8/9th probably the entire time. I felt great! I was catching girls and just felt amazing! The 2nd lap I fell back to about 10th which was alright but I felt like I could get up there with 8th and 9th. I didn't though. And a Dixie girl passed me. I still felt good but not great. The Dixie chick (get it?) started creating a gap on me and I just couldn't get her. Dixie passed a cedar girl and so I was trying to close the gap on her which I sorta did but not enough so I could get up with her. There was also a cedar girl close behind me. At the very last stretch (I'm still in 11th) I knew there wasn't a chance of top ten but I couldn't let the girls behind me pass. I kicked it in hardest I've ever done but it just wasnt enough and the cedar girl passed me at the very end. Putting me in 12th. Ugh. Oh well we still made it to state 3rd! Beating desert hills by 5 points! I think this might have Ben my bestest race ever! I'm so stoked for state! We're gonna do so good!
